Area farmers markets will be well underway by July 14th. With the recent moisture we have received, this year promises to hold much bounty for area localvores who want to enjoy produce that is grown and raised locally and sustainably.

Plainview Area Farmers Market

Deaf Smith County Chamber of Commerce Farmers Market

Location: 310 E. Park Ave. (one block east of Highway 385 and Park Avenue), Hereford
Market season: Wednesday. Hours: 4 p.m. until sell-out

Mid-Plains Farmers Market

The market now has over seventeen venders and covers three different towns, servicing Plainview, Tulia, and Amarillo. The Plainview market is located in the Gebo’s parking lot, and the Amarillo market is located in the Gebo’s parking lot in Amarillo. The Tulia market will be located in the Swisher Memorial Building parking lot across the street from Lowes. The opening date for the Plainview market is June 28th, and Tulia will be July 4th.

New Mexico

Clovis Farmers Market

Location: 4th and Pile-First Baptist Church Parking Lot, Clovis, NM 88101. Goodwin Walking Trail parking lot, located in the 3200 block of North Prince on the East side Market season: May-October on every Saturday 8:00 am and Tuesday 4:00 pm until sell out
